What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide us with 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment. Otherwise a cancellation fee may apply.

How do I pay?

Payment must be made after each consultation. We accept credit cards or cash for your convenience. Receipts will be emailed to you after each consultation.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Please make sure that you have details of any prescribed supplements or medications you’re currently taking. You also need to bring relevant scan reports, medical reports, X-rays, test results, supports, braces and orthotics that you are currently using.

What should I wear?

Wear something which makes you feel comfortable. If possible, wear comfortable shirts and loose pants that allow you to move freely. Bring a pair of shorts if you are presenting with a lower body injury.

Do I need to see my GP first?

While it is common practice for GP’s to refer patients to Chartered Physiotherapists, it is not necessary for patients to consult a GP prior to attending a Physiotherapist.

How many treatment sessions will I need?

The number of treatments required depends on the severity of the condition. Most problems should show significant improvement within 2 to 3 sessions. More long-standing problems can take longer to resolve. Dan’s aim is to assist patients in resolving their problems in as short a time-frame as possible.

What happens during a visit?

During your first visit to Dan, expect him to ask you questions regarding the symptoms that you are experiencing and the history of your complaint. He will also ask about your general health, any medication you are taking and if you are suffering from a severe medical condition. Provided you are a safe candidate for treatment, he will carry out a thorough assessment in order to come to an accurate diagnosis.

Each stage of the assessment process will be explained to the patient and, once a diagnosis is made, a treatment plan will be formulated in collaboration with the patient. Patients will be educated about the cause of the complaint and a clear plan will be put in place to resolve the problem. On the rare occasions that a problem presents requiring onward referral, Dan will arrange the relevant consultations.

Dan is an expert in manual and exercise therapy. The outstanding facilities in the fully-equipped gym in Fitnessworx provide the ideal environment for the exercise rehabilitation that is required to recover from most injuries.
