Based in Togher in Cork , Dan Horan is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Strength and Conditioning Coach with over 20 years of experience in the Physiotherapy and Fitness industries. He has worked in private Physiotherapy practice since 2007 treating thousands of patients successfully. He has worked as a Physiotherapist and Strength and Conditioning Coach with Ireland’s International Football Teams for 12 years and is currently the Head of Research for the Football Association of Ireland.
Dan was the recipient of an Irish Research Council Enterprise Partnership award for his PhD research project exploring injuries in elite-level female footballers in Ireland: ‘Game-changer! Injury surveillance in elite-level women’s football in Ireland: thinking bigger and working together’. His research paper ‘ ‘Injuries in elite-level women’s football-a two-year prospective study in the Irish Women’s National League’ has been published in the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine and Science in Sports and reported on in the national media.
